Lee Howgate was an Assistant Headteacher at Saltash Community School until December 2019
Lee Howgate is uniquely qualified to tutor Politics A-level online. His teaching career lead him to become an Assistant Headteacher at Saltash Community School and he has many years of teaching experience. Lee taught at Saltash until December 2019, when he stood as a candidate in the General Election. Furthermore, he is now a Councillor, and has a deep political insight as a former British Diplomat specialising in the EU and Russia. Lee is both a Torbay Councillor (Lib.Dem.) and a former Diplomatic Service Fast Stream Officer at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
Qualifications
Lee Howgate has been a teacher since 1996, with 8 years as Head of English at RGS Worcester and Teign Schools and 3 years as an Assistant Headteacher in charge of Teaching and Learning at Saltash Community School. Lee has taught Politics, but also English at all levels within the 11-18 age range. In addition to this, Lee has taught History, Geography and also Media Studies. He is married to his wife Sarah (who also teaches) and has two teenage children.
