Wendy Fox is a highly qualified and experienced teacher and tutor. For example, she has been teaching for more than 30 years including seven years as a French, German and EFL teacher at what used to be Plymouth College of Further Education. Wendy has been tutoring one-to-one since 2015 and has had a lot of experience teaching online.

Venue:
Wendy is happy to use Zoom or Skype to teach remotely and can also offer lessons at her home in Plymouth (PL9). She is also willing to travel up to 3 miles to a students home.

Early in her career, Nicky trained, worked and lived abroad for many years

Life in the Italian Alps

After gaining her degree in modern foreign languages in 1994, Nicky spent a number of years working as a travel representative. During this period, Nicky spent time visiting properties in France, liaising with French owners, dealing with sales, customer queries, complaints and also compiling company brochures. She has also been a ski guide and hiking guide in the Italian Alps and for 8 years was involved in the running of a village shop in the Italian Alps on the Italian/French/Swiss border.

From 1998 to 2006, Nicky was self-employed as an external teacher of English as a foreign language and interpreter/translator. During this time, Nicky worked privately for local hotels, businesses and other organisations.

Life in New Zealand

In 2007, Nicky moved to New Zealand to take a job as a Project Manager for Blue South Translation Services. In this role, she was responsible for coordinating translation jobs from start to finish. The following year in 2008, she obtained her Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching (MFL, TESOL, Tourism) from the University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. This is equivalent to the UK PGCE.

In 2009, Nicky returned to the UK and has been teaching French and Italian ever since.
